Use of Accounts (Windows Active Directory)
Workstation Accounts/Department Accounts
- These accounts are the ones you use for workstations and areas with generic tasks
- Always put AWS\<Dept> when signing in as these are security credentials needed to access your work account.
Personal Accounts
- These accounts are users that usually have administrative tasks and are given to supervisors and up or stationed in admin.
- If you require your own account or are given specific tasks using a computer that are not specifically shared to others. You can request your manager to request from IT an account for you.
- AWS\<User>
Shared Folder
- These folders are used to share files between:
- Company
- Note that files stored here are being shared THROUGHOUT THE COMPANY. All departments can access these files.
- If you need to share files between department do so either via google drive or email. Note that these should be temporary only.
- If you need anything printed you can use this shared folder but delete it after.
- Departmental Share
- These files are for your specific department and are for your use.
- Usually included in these are Department Accounts and officers of the department.
- Personal Folder
- All important files must be stored here
- This is for the Account's personal use
- It is always recommended to store IMPORTANT files here to prevent any losses when the computer goes down or needs to be replaced.
- Company Shared Folder, Departmental Folder and Personal Folders should exist on your desktop as well for easier access.
Wifi Access for internal files in Laptops
- Always use AceWaterSpa-Admin Wifi
- IT should have included access to this when laptop or device was issued.
- Wired connection should also function as proper access to internal files.
- No wired connection exists for guests
